S/4HANA Message output control (NAST) and BRF+ ... are there CIG flow limitations with BRF+?

Hi,

I am aware that all of the required S/4HANA outbound flows for DSN or CA (Commerce Automation) are supported with the traditional Message Output Control (NAST) setup where this includes outbound PO, outbound GR status outbound Invoice status, CC Invoice etc to the AN via CIG.

Reading the latest CIG overview and Configuration guides, it indicates the BRF+ now supports Purchase orders and Scheduling Agreements (although not SA Releases), however my question is:

Does BRF+ support all of the flows for the CIG integration of Commerce Automation and what is considered the preferred approach under a S/4HANA landscape? i.e. use NAST or BRF+

Hi Chris,

BRF+ support was added to one of the recently released cig add-on versions.

Go over the release guides for CIG in the past two quarters, you should find some information about it.

Normally BRF+ was working fine except for GR (goods receipt request/notice), in there other partners were facing issues with configuring it and being able to post the GR onto AN.

Hey Prem,

So you don't recommend BRF Plus for GR?
We tried to implement the old way (see SAP S4/HANA Goods receipt doesn't reach DSN)

and we have also have some issue so we thought BRF Plus could be the solution but by reading above text I wouldn't expect this. Correct?

Hey Cindy,

My comment was referring to the time when CIG addon officially was not supporting BRF+.

Now it is supported - so you should be fine with BRF+.

I did see your other thread about issues with receiving, I hope Arshdeep is helping you there

Could you please share how they make it?

I have been done the following steps and it does not work

1.Cross -Application components > output control> Manage application object type activation > desactivate Good Movement , then

2. then, we perform > define message output control for returns and corrections, maintain parameters for receipt requests on SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway SP 0002 and above versions, activate the collective slip for goods receipt, in SAP

3. Cross-reference in CIG > Receipt Request

Then, still the GR does not show to DSN

Could you please provide insight if we are missing something
