RSRT with input ready formulas convert 1-> 100% after pressing Recaluclate Button

Hi Experts,

we have been noticing that in all of our planning queries that are input-ready formulas, when we type some value to the Key Figures with percentages and press recalculate Button, it just does not interpret 1% as it should be but 100%. We found the workaround so that we give it as 0,01 but this is not desired. Has anybody else experienced the same issue?

We are executing the Queries using Analysis for Office 2.5 -> 32-Bit and also in RSRT.

Example:

We type 1 ->

Then press recalculate->

Regys

Hi Regy,

from this screenshot it is not clear, what your calculations are doing - and I do not think that tech names are so top secret that they need to be hidden.

If you want to have help, you need to give as much info as possible, otherwise <i am wastin my time here.

I am pretty sure, it´s the %A part of the function - but since I dont know all parts of the incerse formula I cant tell.

Hi Regys,

so maybe the inverse formula is doing the multiplication / dvision with 100?

Hi Cornelia,

thanks for the prompt response. I actually checked the formulas and there is no devision oder multiplication with 100. Below you can find a picture of the Input-Ready KF that we are planning:

Thanks,

Hi Regys,

but if your KF is a number - where does the unit come from?

Hi Cornelia,

we use this Restricted KF in a Structure and use inverse Formulas to calculate a percentage value for the cell. Also the cell is input ready for planning...

Hi Regys,

check your key figure definition - are there any strange settings for scaling factor? Or any special settings for the %-unit that you are using?

Hi Cornelia,

thanks for your response. Actually i tried with different scaling factors and also tried to recalculate the formula behind it but still its the same issue. This issue is happening at a Restricted KF with a basis KF definef as Number ( Data Type). Could you please suggest any other setting that could help us?

I also tried rebuilding the same scenario but used as the basis for the Restricted KF a KF that has Quantity and % as „Fixed Unit“. Like this it works, but that would require high remodelling efforts as we use this basis KF almost everywhere.

we've been entering our percentages like that for ever 1% => 0.01 (input).

Hi Raf,

thanks for the response. We are also using the 0,01 as input as workaround but the requirement was to input directly the percentage values. As I have noticed is that the KF that we use for data input of percentage values is of Number type, with Decimal defined. I tried to build another example and define the KF as Quantity with % as Unit and there it works.

Could it perhaps have something to do with the definition of the KF that we input data (in this case it is defined as Number)?

Regys
