Restrict Logon-Window "Select Data Source" - hide tab

Hi

We provide our Reports with SAP Portal for all users. We'd like to roll-out now for some key-users additionally Analysis for Excel (Vers. 2.3).

Is there a possibility to hide the Tab Area in the Logon-Window?

Hi Thomas,

Yes, you can hide Area tab for that you have to set the following value.

<MinorVersion value="1" /> in %programdata%\sap\Cof\Cof_app.config in order to get old UI.

Tab disappears, very good. Now I have an additional question. How can I in Tab "Folder" hide the Area in the View Dropdown box?

I do not see a way to do this; I tried running an STAUTHTRACE in the backend but there's no specific authorization object I could see to restrict this.

I recommend creating an idea for this on Idea Place at ideas.sap.com
