Dear All,
we trying to restore full online backup on new system from tape. our source is not available , we have only tape backup.
we use this command it give us error:

Request clarification before answering.
Hi Imran,
At the end of every backup, this file /oracle/R3P/sapbackup/backR3P.log will be backed up to tape. It is the repository of all your backup information. For you to restore the database successfully, at first you have to get this file and control file restored correctly to proper locations.
All this means, you have to follow the disaster recovery procedure. If you have already lost the original host, and if you had named the new host same as the old one it makes the procedure a bit easy.
I'm assuming you are having a tape library connected to a separate backup server.
If these conditions are met, you can follow the disaster recovery method in BRTOOLS.
Start BRTOOLS and follow the menu to Restore and Recovery -> Disaster Recovery
