We have a specific requirement and would appreciate your suggestions on how to implement data encryption and decryption.
The customer needs to restrict access to BOM (Bill of Materials) details, ensuring that these details are not visible to every user. For users without the necessary permissions, the data should be displayed in an encrypted format (e.g., "******").
Head Office (HO) users will have full access to create BOMs, while the factory team will only have access to create Production Orders. Is there any provision in standard SAP to mask certain fields (e.g., with "***") for users without credentials?
We would appreciate any guidance or recommendations on how to achieve this.
