Replication MDG-Finance objects via SOA service from S4/HANA to ECC

Hi Markus/Techies,

We have currently S4/HANA system. We are implementing MDG-Finance on top of it as hub model. But our target replication system is ECC.

1. Can we directly replicate MDG-Finance objects via SOA service? I think there should be XML compatibility issue will be happened. Is there any OSS note available to overcome that issue.

2. Is there any other middleware required (like. CPI or IPAAS) to integrate both S4/HANA to ECC system.? Which is more suitable.

Also please provide me the step action document for CPI-SOA message configuration.

Dear Kumar,

I do not really see an issue in your scenario. The Replication from S/4 to ECC should work in general.

There might be some difficulties, when your ECC Release is too old (not the latest EhP) but in case you have the latest EhP the SOA Replication should work. With PO as well as without PO in between.

You only should keep in mind, that the SOA Replication changed a little bit, when it comes to "Merged GL Account / Cost Element".

Dear Sebastian,
which way recommend SAP today for replicating finance master data from a S/4 MDG Hub system into ECC / S/4 system? Do you remmoend to replicate with the ALE or SOA technologies? I found only SAP guides who explain the ALE replication. But is what is the current state ;-)?

SOA is State-of-the-Art.
