Can HANA Live (with the help of SAP data services acting as an ETL tool, RDS views and of course with the SLT replication functionality) be replaced with BW safely today?
If yes, why? How it works?
Thank you,
Hi Cardeal,
Please note that the HANA Live is deprecated now and is replaced by a superior entity CDS Views.
However CDS views also cannot totally replace BW/4HANA System however if we have small set of data to analyse in source system,we can use CDS views without needing BW system.
Please let me know if this has answered your question.

Hi
HANA is a database where BW is a concept and tool for modeling and running a data warehouse on top of various databases including HANA so it's not comparable.
You should take a look at SAP data warehouse cloud (DWC) it may be what you are looking for.

The idea is to replace BW by HANA. I saw some old publications (2014 and 2018) that do not recommend it. But what about nowadays, is it recommended?
