Remodelling InfoCube: Job stucks during "Converting InfoProvider" step

Hi All,

currently we are remodelling the InfoProviders within a dataflow. We have created a remodelling rule that is adding a characteristic to an InfoCube. The rule populates the newly added field with a blank constant. For the other InfoProviders the Job ran fine without any problems. But with this particular InfoCube the remodelling process stucks during "Converting InfoProvider".

The job is getting stuck at below process step according to the job log

Did any one face a similar problem while remodelling a InfoCube / InfoProvider? The job has been running for more than 6 hours now and it seems that it will abort automatically with an error code. We are using SAP BW on SAP NW 7.50. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Moulika,

this link is not helping as I have already followed all the steps mentionend in the tutorial. I have resolved the issue by removing the data in the InfoCube, checked the cube for consistency and then i have activated it. Also I checked the database table in SE14 for consistency. After that I have reloaded the data and it was working fine. When the conversion fails you might also need to make sure that the requests are cleared in the remodelling rule.
