Regarding sheduler concept in J2EE

Hi all,

My requirement is to fetch data from a DB at one server to DB at another Server.I have to do this 2 or e times a day.For this purpose i am thinking as below....

Running a servlet for this task with neccessary implementation basing on the systemdate.

Is there any other way to implement this task.

I heard about scheduler concept in J2EE.

But i don't know the implementation.

Any one please give me guidance in this issue.

Hi Madhu,

It is easy to make time schedulers in JAVA. Basically you have to use the plain old JAVA timer api or Quartz.
