Hi ,
I am usign Five webi reports in my Xcelsius dashboard each haviing prompt for Country.I want webi to refresh when a cell value which contains country name cnahges.
In Data Connections I have selected the required options and In Object properties as well I have selected the prompt value.Initially I tried to update all objects using same cell but it didn't worked out so now I have mapped cells and taking diffrent prompt cell for each webi report .
The issue is same procedure I followed in one new dashboard (sample) and it is working fine but when In my existing dashboard I am trying it is not working.
I have checked that the cell from which I am taking propmt value is changing regularly but webi report does not erfresh.
If manually I change the value in that particul;ar cell it gets refreshed
I think there is some issue with Xcelsius and webi itself .please let me know how to reolve this issue and Guide me if there is any manual that I can follow for the same.
Thanks & regards,
Deepak
It started working as I rebuild the page. You need to be very carefull if number of connecitons are more. Take care of server name and cross domain policy at server.
I hope it helps.

Hi Deepak,
There are remote chances that its a bug with Webi/LO/Xcelsius as this works at my end and also with Sample reports at your end. We should be missing some link and need to review your dashboard to get at the point. The probable problem areas can be found by following tests -
- Add a spreadsheet/value component to your dashboard to check that the value of Country is changing (if not already done)
- Check the Refresh Every option and set it to 1 minute, now check if the new prompt value is passed to the back-end and the data is refreshed. If not then we have the problem with query refresh and need to troubleshoot in that direction.
- If the data refresh is triggered but the new prompt value is not passed we are missing the mapping out there.
If you have looked at all these aspects and unable to proceed, attach your dashboard with sample data and I will try to help you.
Regards,
Ameet
