Hi
We are trying to promote reports/information spaces from development environment to production environment.
The problem is it is failing.
Our version is BI 4.1 SP3.
We are using windows AD authentication.
Our date base is Teradata and while promoting we are not promoting security and folders structure is same in both the environment.
Could you please let us know what could be the reason.
We are not BO admin but we do had that right to promote and this was been successful earlier.
Thanks and regards
Gaurav.
Hi Gaurav,
The best Thing would be to check with your Admin and ask him if he can do the same with his ID.
At least you can remove the possibility of right related Errors in that case. If it still Fails, then you can check for further Analysis.
Cheers
Arijit

Initial thoughts:
Sorry I cannot test that because
I do not have rights in Test environment to move reports from DEV to PROD.
The main purpose was
We have asked Admin to give us rights in Dev env because we needed to move reports frequently from one env to another.
But the problem again comes is with it is successful with their ids logged as administrator but it fails with our ids.
So is it something to do with windows logon or with enterprise.
Or some thing note??
Thanks.
regards
Gaurav.
If it is working for your Admin and if you get errors, I'll zero down the issue to the delegated rights you have on the system. It was working earlier and it is not working now - this part is concerning - Not sure of someone played around your rights. Also, I do agree that the error messages could/should have been more meaningful.
So,
Check if you have proper rights for the application, folders, connections etc on the source system as well as on the destination system.
Create a simple Hyperlink and try promoting that and you will get to know if there are any issue while accessing the dependencies.

Naras
