Hi all,

I have created a transaction iview using SAP ENTERPRISE PORTAL.The transaction code I am trying to access is SE11.

My question is if I try to access this from an external place lets say an Internet Center.

Do,I require an SAP GUI installed on that machine ?

Generally we do not have SAP GUI installed on machines which are present in internet rigth?

FYI,at the time of creation of this Iview I have selected the radio buttion

SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS

The other two options available are

SAP GUI FOR JAVA

SAP GUI FOR HTML.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi,

Thats correct that we can have the iview look from internet also in case of GUI for Windows. But, rather I will suggest that you must go with the SAP GUI for HTML coz of the following reasons:

1. It is easier to use anywhere just with the access to iexplorer. You do not have to install the environment again & again on different m/c.

2. It is easier to access as the majority look & feel of the iview will be same as original one.

3. It is more secure to use.

FYI... I had worked with that transaction also created the iview for that.

Thank You

Hi Pas,

Please go through the link which talks abt how to create application iViews and details abt them,

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/02/f9e1ac7da0ee4587d79e8de7584966/frameset.htm

And what Ravi said in the before mess is right you need to have SAP Gui installed to see that iView.

Hope this helps.

Hi Pas,

ofcourse if you select SAP GUI FOR windows you need to have windows gui installed on your machine, the best way for this is select SAP GUI FOR HTML, it doesnt require sap gui installed and you can access this from any place.

more info is on http://www.erpgenie.com/faq/sapguiforhtml.htm
