Problem in loading 0WBS_ELEMT_WBSH_HIER after upgrade

Hi all,

We are upgrading our system from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6 EHP 6

We are now in the develpment stage - our new dev is copied from the production.

I have connected the new ECC devv to my BW dev 7.01

After the copy and upgrade I've been having problems with 0WBS_ELEMT_WBSH_HIER

while loading the data i get error on 1740 nodes - "node id & not used in the hierarchy as a sibling node or child node"

The same data loads fine in R/3 4.7 production to BW production

so it must be the upgrade - no?

your assistance please.

Thanks,

Or.

Hi,

Check the hierarchy nodes status in RSH1 t-code in BW system.

Run your datasource in RSA3 and check the data accuracy. I suggest you to replicate your datasource in BW side and activate the flow till infoobject.

Suman

Hi Suman,

Thanks for the quick reply.

i already checked the data in RSA3 and indeed i see the missing connections.

That is why i think it is because of the upgrade.

But in the WBS transactions of ECC all looks fine (like production).

So why the load is wrong?

Thats ok. Have you tried to replicate your datasource and tried to load again?

Upgrade might be a reason too. Because, many of the structure are likely to be changed/disturbed during upgrade.

Have you been advised by SAP to implement any SAP notes post upgrade? I think it's better to contact them.

Hi Ish,

please  compare with ecc hier with bw hier, you may find out where its causing.

As said by above, at ECC side, please recheck your hierarchy nodes, if any nodes are not in place. take functional guy help and do the requried changes.

after that activate ecc hierarchy and replciate into bw side. do the activation further steps.

Please check this link.

http://scn.sap.com/message/5566706

please check this note:

Note 1308643 - Consistency check: Nodes that are not included in hierarchy

Thanks

Hi,

I have contected SAP.

It is a problem in table PRHI in the ECC.

There is no problem in the WBS load with the incorect table values in R/3 4.7

But there is a problem with ECC 6.

SAP said fix the values in table PRHI.

Hi Ish,

After ecc upgrade, you ECC side hier str may be disturbed like some nodes may not placed in right area. some nodes are disconnected form parent nodes. Take source system help and do the requried changes.

Look hier str of WBS Element - at ecc side - CJ01.

Actually once ECC upgrade happens, extrcats structure may go inactive mode. please check on it

Thanks

Hi Ish,

Please check WBS element hierarchy structure in BW, check it once from top to bottom.

Use to code - RSH1(bw side), select your hier name and double click. check each ndoes how defined.

or go to respective info object at RSA1, select your info object, double click, click on hierarchy tab, click on Maintain hierarchies, on that screen select your hier, its take you to next screen(where you get the same screen by using RSH1). check how hier str look like.

if every things like perfect then, as sugested by suman already, replicate data source into bw, activate data source and further steps also(transformations, dtp and info pack).

Mean while check at RSA3(ecc system), take 5 recrords which your getting error(related nodes) and see them at RSA3.

Thanks
