Prerequisites and Post steps/checks for Solman SPS upgrade

Dear All,

My Solution Manager  is 7.2 system, currently running on SPS 17 and HANA DB and it is critical to our environment.

I am planning to upgrade the system from SPS 17 to the latest SPS available in the marketplace. The system is configured with CHARM, TREX, Managed System Configuration, and SOS setup for all connected systems.

For example:

Should the CHARM setup be disabled or enabled before starting the SPS upgrade (prerequisite)?
Do we need to re-run every step in Mandatory Configuration after completing the SPS upgrade (post-upgrade)?

Could you please provide a detailed list of prerequisites and post-upgrade steps to be followed for both the Solman ABAP and JAVA stacks during this upgrade?

Dear Appuru,

For your questions:
Should the CHARM setup be disabled or enabled before starting the SPS upgrade (prerequisite)?
Answer: there is no such prerequisite for CHARM. 

Do we need to re-run every step in Mandatory Configuration after completing the SPS upgrade (post-upgrade)?
Answer: It only needs to execute the steps with yellow exclamatory mark in SOLMAN_SETUP after the upgrade. 

For the pre and post steps for solution manager 7.2 SPS upgrade, it's suggested to read the Release Information Notes. The latest version is 7.2 SP20.
