I have created a simple odata to pull a table out of Solution Manager (no Hana). One of the fields is a string field that ties to a Rich Text Editor in a fiori screen. This is stored in the database as base64(????)
I can get the field in Power BI just fine - looks exactly like it looks like in se16. How do I convert it to a readable format?

I'm not asking for support - I'm asking the SAP community question for someone who has come across a similar instance in their SAP environments. This is a question that might come up with any reporting tool whose company SAP has a partnership with (like Microsoft). Companies like my client who use Power BI for SAP reporting may also have a response.
I have actually had Oracle database questions answered in forums here. I've asked opinions on differences between 3rd party applications and questions on how to use. There have been 802 questions asked about Power BI in the SAP community, not to mention tons of blogs. If there is no one who has the answer, that's fine. Shutting it down with condescending remarks from the parent company was not what I was looking for. It devalues the community altogether.

I hope you realize that SAP works with a ton of products and configurations out there in the world - including partnering with Microsoft for HANA connectors directly into Power BI. The current company I'm working for has Power BI as it's overall reporting solution and has just recently migrated all SAP reporting over there - away from SAP reporting products.
The tag was a typo as I had difficulty finding the proper tag. That doesn't negate the fact that I'm looking for a solution to an SAP originated issue and looking for others in the community with a similar set up that might be able to help.

You have an issue in a Power BI ,not the source data in an SAP product (not an SAP originated). So the logical place to ask is a power bi forum or support channel.
When I have an issue with SAP Reporting tool that connects to Oracle, I do not go to Oracle to ask how to convert a field data I get from Oracle in my SAP tool.
The tool where issue happens determine where I'd go to ask. Not the source data location.
So, the chances you will get an answer here are slim, as we do not even have Power BI tag.
