I am using Crystal Reports 2020 SP4 (14.3.4.4773), my question is: Can you load three different images and reference one of the three in a fourth image to change what is shown for the fourth image?
E.g. Stop light images (red, yellow, green), change a fourth image to red by referencing the name (all images in the same section of report design). Is this possible? The idea is to have the images I need already imported onto the section I need them and reference them instead of having a dynamic link to a network location in order to swap images as the report PDF is being generated.
Request clarification before answering.
I am not sure if I understood the scenario correctly, but the very common solution is to place required images on the top of each other and conditionally suppress them. For example if you want to display a flag based on the country, then place all possible flags on the top of each other and conditionally suppress all of them.
If you add more details to your scenario, I will try to provide more details to proposed solution.
