PI REST Receiver - Connection Timed out error

Dear All,

I'm facing 'Connection Timed Out' error in REST Receiver Adapter. The process is as below

SAP Proxy --> PI --> 3rd Party API.

I've configured SOAP adapter as Sender Channel and REST Adapter as receiver channel, and also configured the client URL in REST Receiver adapter. While calling this URL I'm getting the connection timed out error. We have whitelisted the IPs in both the end. But still I'm facing this error.

Please refer the below error log and need your input to know what caused this and how to solve this error.

I can't see any error log.
Did you check if you are using correct Quality of Service in your sender adapter?

How are you testing this scenario (SoapUI)?

Hi ziolkowskib,

Please find the error screenshot below. I didn't specify QoS in sender channel because I'm using SOAP adapter with XI3.0 as message protocol in which the QoS option is not available. I'm calling the proxy object from SAP Program for testing. I'm not using SoapUI tool.

Hi manivel,
It looks like connection issue - my guess would be that either PI is not able to resolve the domain address of the remote server or there is some HTTPS issue (you are calling 443 port).
Are you sure that the address you're calling is accessible (networkwise) from PI?

With help of Basis Admin I'm able to solve this connection issue. Imported 3rd party system's SSL certificates.

Hi @manivel , May I ask where does your basis import the SSL certificates? We encountered similar error. Tried import the SSL certificates in PI system NWA->Certificates and Keys->trustedCA but it doesn't solve our issue.
