Personas - Can't change button properties

Hi All

I am trying to change button properties and nothing seems to work. Please check the script tests below.

This is the EWM system and I am working on the RFs transactions. This task is particularly challenging due to the dynamic nature of screen creations, making it difficult to work on them effectively as the object IDs and screen IDs lack uniqueness. Unfortunately and because the BASIS team is unbelievably busy we have no plan to update the system so I need to find a workaround.

So what I am trying to achieve is pretty simple - and it would be simpler if the IDs were unique. I created a button and I want the button to change the text and to hide it if something happens. Nothing works

The color change was just a test and it also does not work.

Any idea what's going on?

System status:

  • SCREEN PERSONAS 3.0 SP18 -SAP SCREEN PERSONAS 3.0
  • S4HANA ON PREMISE 1909 - SAP S/4HANA 1909

Thanks

Andrea

I think your problem with RF transactions and Personas lies in the system being S/4HANA 1909. There has been a lot of effort to make Personas work effectively with RFUI, but those improvements are only there with S/4HANA 2023 together with SP18. Check this for more info. Being on 2023 would help with creating Personas flavors as there is extra coding to ensure that for flavors, a unique identifier is built behind the scenes, so your changes will affect the individual controls instead of changing varying objects on the dynamically changing screens.

However, it is not clear why the color changes in your specific example would not work since they appear to be for a Personas-added control which has a unique ID. Consequently, changing its properties should work.
