Hi Folks,
this pertains to output field formatting in Adobe forms. I'm using Livecycle 11.0, patch level 26, which I think is the latest.
I have a decimal field that I want to express as a percentage in an Adobe form. I know that Adobe does an internal calculation when it expresses percentages, so a decimal value of 5.00 will output as 500%; I can deal with that. But I want the output to have 1 or 2 digits before the decimal place, and 2 digits after the decimal place, even if it's a zero value. Like this: 3.76% 0.50% 0.00% 34.00% - you get the idea.
However, when I choose this output pattern: num.percent{99.99} the output is expressed as an integer if there are no digits other than zero after the decimal point. So an example output is 18%, whereas I want 18.00%. It does the same if I use num.percent {z9.z9}. And yes, the output field is plenty large enough.
I've seen a lot of forum posts complaining about earlier versions of Livecycle with similar problems, but I don't think I can blame the version. And I don't want to use a string value, because the field is used for calculations. It should work for a decimal.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers
John
