Hi
I just installed Web AS for Java and EP 7.0 from
NW2004s SR1. Now I want to patch it SP09. Can any one tell me how to patch the kernel? And should I patch the kernel before applying the SP.
Also can you send me the link for patching the kernel for AS Java in NW2004s SR1.
Thanks
regards
Henry
The kernel on WebAS Java shouldn´t be patched "alone" - instead you should install a support stack which will patch all the components consistently to a tested level.

Hello Henry
You can download latest kernel from service site.
1) My Company's Application Components -> SAP KERNEL 64-BIT UNICODE -> SAP KERNEL 7.00 64-BIT UNICODE. Depending on your system i.e. 32/64 bit and OS and DB platform, download both OS and DB independent kernel files.
2) Copy both the files in \usr\sap\trans\EPS\in directory without extracting.
3) Start JSPM in the directory \usr\sap\SID\JC02\j2ee\JSPM\go.bat
4) You can select single support package to deploy. It will list the current & target SP Level of kernel.
But before upgrading kernel you have to apply latest patch of JSPM.
