We have purchased SAP Crystal Report 2020 for development additionally we installed
Crystal report Service Pack 36 runtime 32 and 64-bit.
we are facing an error on our server.
Error: Padding is invalid and cannot be removed.

we added a virtual application under the website for more information see the attached screenshot

Need more details about when you are getting this error, it's not a CR error so look to be something you are doing in your code or configuration settings.

A quick Google search found this:

Hi Donwilliams,

We have only this issue when we are using crystal reports. if I remove the crystal report from the page the page is not throwing the error. We did some R&D and got something related to this i got the below link from the community https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-q-a/padding-is-invalid-and-cannot-be-removed/qaq-p/12613411

If you're encountering the error “Padding is invalid and cannot be removed” on the server but not locally, and it’s happening while working with the Crystal Report file you uploaded (GeneralLedgerDetail.rpt), the issue is most likely related to encryption/decryption in your server-side application, not the report design itself.
