OVP libraries in custom UI5 app

Is it possible to use sap.ovp.ui.DashboardLayout in my Custom UI5 App's view . Ofcourse , i tried but ended up with some errors.Why do I need this specific layout?As per SAP docu , SAP OVP app allows to use Resize & DnD(Drag n Drop) for cards/UI elements . I tried it works.I want to use this feature in my custom app so that i can Resize & DnD Cards / panels on my screen.

Any leads / Guidance on this please.
