Hi,
Just wanted to check for other idea.
We are using BW 7.3 (not on hana).
So we have a table with these three (3) fields.
We also have an EMPLOYEE field masterdata with the attribute ID field. In order for us to know what ZONE and STATE an EMPLOYEE belongs to, we created a lookup routine in the table above by linking the ID field. So ZONE and STATE are now both attributes of EMPLOYEE.
From
To
Report is working now, we can already display in the report the ZONE and STATE for each EMPLOYEE.
But the problem arises when the client told us they didn't want the solution when we made the "ZONE as attribute" of EMPLOYEE.
So another solution we thought of was to make the ZONE as hierarchy of the ID.
Since our BW query is being consumed by LUMIRA as front-end report, when we told the LUMIRA guy about the hierarchy thing, he said that hierarchy is not possible to be read in LUMIRA.
Is it correct?
If it is, any other solution you can think of for this ZONE field? Either in BW or LUMIRA side solution will do.
Thanks a lot.
