Hello,

We are looking for the availability of an option to trigger an event in SAP Cloud ALM as soon as either

  • A Transport Request is successfully imported (through a Feature), or
  • A Transport Request import fails.

We want to use this event to trigger the next action in a third-party tool. Can you please help to confirm if it's possible in SAP Cloud ALM? If yes, any reference blogs/KBAs will be helpful.

Thanks & Regards

SAP Cloud ALM does not currently offer events specific to the import status of Transport Requests in Features. The only available events related to Features are for creation, updating, and deletion of a Feature. These events contain data about the Feature itself, and not the Transport Requests that it is linked to. More Information about these events can be found in the Resource Changes for Features documentation, and information about the event payloads can be found in the Push API Resource Changes - Features documentation.

A Read API for Feature and Transport Request data is planned for Q1 2025, and may be useful in polling Features from the third party software to identify Transport Request statuses. However, this is a "Pull" API and not a "Push" API, so the API request will need to be triggered from an external source (e.g. from the third party software).
