Hello community
When I use Personas to open a PDF Document via CV03N/04N, it works perfectly via Personas:
http://server:8080/sap/bc/personas/?&~transaction=CV04N
(or of course also via htmlGUI)
--> a separate browser-window opens up which displays the document. Perfect.
When using Slipstream engine:
http://server:8080/sap/bc/se/m/index.html?&~transaction=CV04N
I don't get any response, or an undefined error...
Does anyone encounter the same or can maybe even explain what the problem might be?
I would love to switch to slipstream engine in this area, but I need a solution to open a Document...
Thanks for any replies in advance! Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,
You said that you don't see any error message. I remember there was a problem earlier with the mentioned scenario, but it should be corrected by now, and it involved getting an E::000 or A:000 message. There is a note addressing this: 3100948. Does this help?
Implement note 3305313 as well.
In addition, make sure your client sources are fully up to date, because we also had a corresponding fix with ID SLIPSTREAM-3377 Feature: Introduced support for previewing documents in a new browser tab a couple of months ago.

Hello Tamas
Thanks for your input. Weird, now I get the Error message A: A::000 > but no further Info about it.
I have checked für any permission problems, and unfortunately all the mentionend notes are "not applicable" for our system... I guess it is then high time to finaly get to a newer release (unfortunately we are stuck with SP13 and I don't see any possibility to upgrade this year). So for the moment being I guess wi will not use slipstream for the business cases where documents need to be openend.
Regards, Nicolas

I think this is the same issue from back in February: https://answers.sap.com/questions/13812429/viewing-dms-document-in-screen-personas.html
I've been working on a project that requires the ability to view documents, so I'm definitely interested if there is a fix ready.
