Tutorials: https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/data-warehouse-cloud-bi4-install-odbc.html
--------------------------
I could follow and reproduce all the steps.
When importing data from SAP DSP to PBI I get only the technical names of the objects...in the screenshots of your tutorial the names are displayed, is that right?
Any idea how to overcome that?
Best regards, Harald

Hello,
3219879 - Only technical name is shown in client via ODBC connection to SAP Datasphere
That's currently not possible.

harald.wetzel Greetings from Tägerwilen 🙂 Did you already try the Beta ODATA PowerBI Connector? https://github.com/SAP-samples/data-warehouse-cloud-connectors/tree/main/power-bi
Unfortunately I think this one does also not give you the business names, but maybe olaf.fischer can give some insights if this is planned for the future or maybe already possible today?

Hello Harald, the ODBC connection between SAP DataSphere and MS PBI is at DB level, so PBI only recognizes tables, views and field names.
Business names are a metadata semantic layer, transparent to a 3rd party visualization tool.
