Only allow values from value help in decision table with excel import in SAP BTP Business Rules

Hello,

i have created a simple decision table with the Business Rules capability of SAP Workflow Management following this tutorial Getting started with the SAP BTP Business Rules Service - YouTube.

I created a Value Help for the Incident.Priority and its working well. But if I press validate on the top right the check is successful even though 'S' is not part of my value help for Incident.Priority. I am especially interested in doing an export to excel modifying the table and then importing it again, then checking whether all the values i entered are present in my value help. Is there any way to implement this? Alternatively is there any way to use the export to excel and use the value help there?

Hello Darion,

The validation in business rules is for semantic validation. It will not validate against any backend system or for any available values. If you want to have any explicit governance like validation against any backend system or values, then you have configure rule governance (link on how to) in your project.

- Value help is not available if you export the business rules in excel sheet. In excel sheet, values have to be entered manually.
