OCS Package SAPKA70104, tp step A, return code 0008

Hello Practitioners,

I need help. I'm stuck with the DDIC_ACTIVATION phase on my SP Upgrade for SRM 7.0.

I am currently updating component SAP_ABA, my current Queue in SPAM is SAPKB70104 to SAPKA70107.

I stopped on SAPKA70104 and cannot proceed anymore. I tried to re-import again the queue but still got the same error.

The import was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase

DDIC_ACTIVATION, which the Support Package Manager is unable to resolve

without your input.

After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the

import by choosing Support Package -> Import queue from the initial

screen of the Support Package Manager.

SP Upgrade has been successful.

I have debug standard program based on the correction. I manually implement the correction with the help of an ABAP colleague.

Please check the exact error in the log files avaialble in the trans\log\SAPKA70104.<SID>

You can also check the same in STMS (GOTO - > Status )

You need to look for the particular object (in the complete log file) which is not getting activated.

easy to read the log in STMS as you get the error in RED in screen.

(GOTO->import logs & then expand the log and look for errors in RED)

Try to activate the view CTSOBJLISTV manually & check the reason why its not getting activated.

Did you get chance to check SAP Note 822379.

They have defined the complete scenarios of DDIC_ACTIVATION issues realted to support packages.

Kindly implement those notes before support packages.

Currently, I am not able to proceed those corrections via SNote since I am locked with the queue status. The only option is to implement them manually.

So I am looking for ways how can I manually update them since I am a basis and not an abaper.

If only I have ways to revert it back to its original phase then I can apply corrections.

Hi Sheila,

SNOTE and SPAM are two separate transactions.

I dont see any reason why you can not apply note using snote.

Note 822379 is a genral note which refers so many common errors during upgrade So you need not to apply this note either through SNOTE or manually, You need to lookout the Symptom if you dound anything on this Note.

Further more You need to check these tables on Your System why these are incosistent and not activated. Once this will be resolved you would be able to proceed further.

@Pinkle If Upgrade is on Process whole queue is locked and you cannot use SNOTE to apply any note Corrections.
