Hello, we have received the info from our security department. Obsolete Software: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package Detected.

How can I update the Business Objects package 4.2 with the latest version of MS Visual C++ without affecting functionality?

What version of MS Visual C++ is included in SAP BI 4.3? Is it already version 2015-22?

We are upgrading to BI 4.3, but until then BI 4.2 must still work and the problem with MS Visual C++ 2010 must be solved.

If you are upgrading/update your BI 4.3 from 4.2 and it is not a fresh install, do not delete Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 as it is used by 4.2 which is your base BI install and cannot be uninstalled.

Instead, you would install 4.3 on a new system and migrate your content over.

You can't upgrade the version of the C++ package and still have your existing system run. 4.3 uses MS Visual C++ 2015-2019.
