Nothing happens when launching Application Generator in local Vscode installation.

Hello Experts,

I have installed latest Vscode on my laptop.Also installed Fiori extension pack.

When I launch Application Generator through command pallet nothing happens.

Does any component or step missing ?

I have only installed vscode and Fiori extension pack.Does node.js is necessary ?

Please help.

Hello Guru,

Sorry to hear you are having issues :(. Can you please ensure that the "Application Wizard" VSCode extension is installed? It should be included as part of the Fiori extension pack. Once it is, can you please launch it from the command palette: "Open Template Wizard". Once this launches, it should show you the generators that are installed.

If the Fiori generator is not installed, please click on "Explore and Install Generators" in top right hand corner. Then search for "Fiori" and install the "@sap/generator-fiori" that appears. It should already have been installed, but it looks like it hasn't for you.

Thanks for quick reply.

While following your instructions step by step noticed that "Explore and Install Generators" in the top right hand corner was not showing.(you mentioned that)

So while finding solution why this step(as per your answer) is not working I found that node.js is a prerequisite,So installed node.js and then again followed your instructions step by step and now installing Application Generator(it has taking long time.(may be issue of internet speed)

So please mention in your answer that node.js runtime is prerequisite for Application Generator(I have asked about it in my question.May be you have not noticed that.)

Just finished installation of Application Generator and everything is working fine now.
