no SDBSETUP.EXE in Max DB update form SAP

Hi everyone,

the last few updates of the MAXDB and Database Studio didn´t had any SDBSETUP.EXE Files when unpacked...

I downloaded the latest version of the Server Package

When unpacked via sapcar the SDBSETUP ist missing.

Does anyone know if this is a broken release by SAP or if its intended and there is an other way to update MaxDB

Hi,

For the installation, unpack the archive into a directory of your choice and call SDBINST(.exe) there and follow the instructions.

SDBSETUP is not supported anymore.

Hello Birgit,
thank you for the information, on Windows it's easy to get confused

SAP note 2300026 explains this change, but the title refers to Linux only
In Database Studio 7.9.11 for Windows, the README still refers to SDBSETUP for installation

Could you please update this informations ?

HI, thanks for reporting the issue with the readme file. We changed information in SAP note and in the readme. With next software delivery the readme should be up-to-date.
