No parameter popup on crystal .net runtime if param is in sub report

If I open up a report and a sub report has a parameter field, there is no popup to ask for the value.

This worked on the old activeX crystal viewer component.

Is there a workaround for this?

What version of CR are you using?

I assume you may be using the CR for VS .NET runtime and editing the reports in the VS Embedded report Designer? If you are using CR for VS .NET runtime what SP are you using?

From CR Designer open the report, click on the Edit menu option and select the Subreport Links... option:

Don't go into the subreport to edit the links. And note the ?Pm... is an internal link CR creates, don't edit it.

You need to log into the Database before the parameter will prompt, maybe, without more details hard to say what you are doing and why.
