No authorization for the field „Show Lineage“ in calculation view (Hana Studio)

Hello everyone,

I have no authorization for the field „Show Lineage“ on the "Systems" tab in Hana Studio. It's highlighted in gray --> (see uploaded attachment)

An authorization trace did not produce any result. Nothing is displayed in the trace.

What I don't understand when I'm on the "Repositories" tab in Hana Studio works, i can use the field „Show Lineage . But I no longer have authorization for the field on the "Systems" tab.

Can anyone help?

Hello Stefan,

I guess it has something to do with the opening mode. In Repositories tab when you open the calculation view, you can see it opens with HANA view editor. But when you open it in a transport controlled server (eg. quality or prod system) under Systems tab, it opens in view only mode & I think that's what restricts the show lineage option to be enabled. You won't quite likely find this disablement of show lineage option under Systems tab if you do the same in your development system where usually the calculation views are opened in editable by default. In your screenshot there is a warning message, if you click on that, it will probably say the same that the model is opened in view only mode & there is no edit auth. I am not 100% sure about this conclusion, but I derived this based on my past exeperience with the same.
