When multiple users open the New Service Quote screen simultaneously and select the same product, an error message appears: "Object currently locked by XXXXXX; try again later."
We reported this issue to SAP, and their response confirmed that this is standard system behavior. However, it is unclear why this restriction applies only to service quotes, while other processes, such as Sales Orders and Purchase Orders, do not have this limitation.
The ability to create service quotes simultaneously using the same service item is both essential and unavoidable. Therefore, we have submitted a new idea request to SAP. We would greatly appreciate it if more companies could vote in support of this request.
