Hi everyone,
Under the SAC BI license, I would like to obtain the turnover and margin in :
Note that in the dataset there are sales amount figures in various local currencies according to store location, so it was necessary to fill in the currency conversion table SAP_ALL_CURRENCY, assign the currency setting for the dimension organization and also activate the currency conversion option in the model preferences (settings).
The raw dataset does not contain any negative values.
In story mode, however, the amounts are negative when defined in the modeler as an account type "INC" and positive under an account type "EXP".
Here are the details for the table.
Moreover, under a planning license, measures in account type "INC" return positive values, in account type "EXP" return negative values, which seems logical.
Here are the details for the planning table.
Is it normal that this is different from one SAC license to another?
Also, the margin is not displayed in a table format, but is shown under a bar chart or time series but with negative values, no matter if the margin is placed in an account type "INC" or "EXP", no matter if the amount is placed in an account type "INC" or "EXP".
It is important to know that the margin takes into account the measure “Amount” in its calculation formula.
I found a link saying that it was normal to have values displayed positively for account types EXP, and negatively for INC under SAP BPC.

Is it the same process as on SAC licence BI?
If yes, I don't understand the logic behind the web link, can you explain it to me?
I would like to avoid as much as possible re-importing my data to have access to "Mapping Options" to check "Convert value symbol by account type" since I have done a lot of transformation on my model before and after its creation.
"Mapping Option" does not appear in the right panel in Modeler mode (before model construction, or during model reconstruction).
Have you ever had these problems?
Kind regards,

Hi William Yu,
After reading your answer, I re-imported the data and made sure to click on the "Convert value symbol by account type" option. Now the "Account" data is now positive, which is what we want. However the "Margin" data remains negative no matter if you choose "INC" or "EXP" as account type. Can we do something about this?
Kind regards,

No matter which account type you can, you should always see positive value in the story. In SAC, EXP type is stored as positive value in model while it's INC type is stored as negative value. This means there should sign flip for accounts with type INC.
If you say there is no negative value in model data set, probably means that when you load data you didn't choose to do sign flip according to account type. That's also why you see negative value for INC value in story.
