Need custom button to download an excel file in RAP application

Hi Everyone,

In my RAP application I want to incorporate custom download action in list report page. So that when I click on that I need to download a custom excel sheet. 

Can we achieve this in RAP application, If yes, then how?

if not, what other options I can follow?
