In BEx QD, is there a way to either add a free text field into the characteristic structure or maybe add a key figure that contains partial text? Our customer wants to have the scaling factor labels spelled out next to the goal amounts. As show below and attached. If not spelled out, they might settle for M/B next to the numbers. The scaling factor feature (at least in this version of the QD) seems to want to put it in the KF header as 1000000s or 1000000000s. We are on the 7.4 release of QD Revision 739. Any information about why this can or cannot be accomplished would be very helpful. Also, if you know it is possible in later versions of BW that might help as well. Also, we would like to do this without modifying the info providers if possible.
Thank you!
Chris

Total | $3.64 Billion | $3.64B | 3,644,000,000 | $1,115,683,800 | 31% |
* We would like to have different scaling factors possible for rows with the "Millions" and "Billions" labels spelled out. This could either be the separate scaling of a key figure column or, if possible, the insertion of a text field that cooresponds with the row characteristic nodes.
** Same as the 1st choice but have "M" and "B" as the scaling indicators instead of being spelled out.
*** Goals (In case the goal is a text column this would be used for the % calculation but would be hidden)
**** This is a characteristic structure comprised of multiple characteristic selections along with formulas. |
