Named Licenses and Machine Rotation

We have Crystal Reports 2020 named licenses. We have CR 2020 installed in our remote machines but these machines will need to be rotated every month. This means we would need to re-install CR 2020 every month in a new machine. Would named licenses support this, or is there any limit on the number of installations a named license can have.

Another questions. If there any way to do the silent installation without a license code in the full_response file, and have users enter their license codes after the installation?

I think if your first remote machine goes away when the new one is created, then you should be fine with the named user license.  That license would in reality still only be installed on one machine.  You should check the language in your license agreement though.

I don't think the installation can proceed without the license key, so I don't think you can leave that out of the response file.  You would need some process that would customize the response file for each user with the appropriate license key.  This may allow for better management of the licenses so there could be an upside to this.
