hi, I want to create a type message with nace tcode. I want to associate a custom alv report. is possible to do ?
Hi
Yes it can.
U need to assign a new Z-program and a new routine to your type message.
In the new routine u can insert all "standard" abap code in order to get the data to be printed and then call an ALV instead of a sapscript or smartforms.
U should assign a number 8 as medium

Hello Max,
As i got same requirement, i have created z-report with selection screen assigned to output type with transmission medium as special function. whenever i save/post the document a popup selection screen should display and based on the inputs a form needs to be printed.
I have posted the document and it is not triggering the selection screen to provide inputs . suggest me how do i proceed, or provide me some pseudo code for print program.
Thanks in advance

Hi
I really doubt If you can get an ALV report as output using output types of NACE tcode. I dont think it is possible. And why are u specific about ALV?? Any particular reason??? You can always display using scripts and smartforms, right??

Hi,
You can create a output type using NACE T-Code.
1)Go to the nace transaction.
2)Select the application for which u want to create a output msg type.
3)Click on Output types on the menu bar.
4)Click on change button, then new entries
There you can create your own output message type.
There itself you can assign your program to that output type.

Sandhya
