Multi SAP ECC Server Connection to Single SAP Portal

Dear Experts,

We have connected multiple SAP Client of same ECC server to Single SAP Portal and we are able to view data using various standard SAP ESS/MSS Objects.

Is it feasible to connect Multiple SAP ECC Servers to one SAP Portal Server for showing data from varios servers using Standard ESS/MSS Objects.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

connecting several ECC systems to the portal is no problem. In your setup, what complicates this, is the ESS/MSS package. You'll have to provide JCo + System aliases for ESS/MSS. As this involves some configuration, maybe a Federated Portal is an option for you:

For every ECC + MSS/ESS you create 1 portal. These portal get integrated into 1 central consumer portal. This setup allows you to upgrade the ECC + MSS/ESS separately.

Hi Tobias,

Can you please provide your feedback on the following scenario, which we are trying to achieve:

We have an EP 7.0 connected to our back-end ECC 6.04 system which is working fine.

Now we want to connect another back-end system probably ECC 6.0 to this portal for ESS/MSS Implementation.

Is it feasible to achieve this, and could you pl. point us in the right direction to get this started.
