MRP Area Level Planning

We would like to use the make-to-order production or engineer-to-order planning strategies in MRP areas.
How it would be possible?

The MTO and ETO strategies can be used only in the plant MRP area and individual customer segments cannot be planned in the MRP area.

The answer and the KBA are not completely correct. According to question 3 of SAP note 550844, "As of SAP Enhancement Package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0, you can use the business function OPS_PS_CI_1 in the project system to achieve a work breakdown structure (WBS) account assignment on MRP area level."
