monitoring alert when specific users such as FF , DDIC or SAP* log in SAP

Hi,

Is there any way to setup monitoring alert when specific users such as FF , DDIC or SAP* log into the managed SAP system .

Please advice

Dear customer,

In our standard template SAP ABAP 7.10 and higher, there is no metric used to monitor the logon action for user such as FF , DDIC or SAP*.

However, we deliver one standard metric/alert: User Lock Status which allows to set a list of ABAP users that are checked for their lock status in the system.

You can define multiple variants for the users you want to monitor as following:

custom metric variant: USER=FF
custom metric variant: USER=DDIC
custom metric variant: USER=SAP*

If the user got locked the status will be red then you can get alerts. If the user not locked, the rating will be green and you can also check the status in System Monitoring UI.
