Hi!
With my SAC trial version I created different models with 'index model' option ticked and no data access control or privacy enabled. However I am just able to find the first model I created in 'search to insights'.
Is that a limitation of the trial version or am I missing something?
Thx!
Request clarification before answering.
I am having the same issue on our SAC system, and we are not on the trial version.
Create a model, turn on index, load some data, and the model still is not appearing as an option in the Search to Insights menu. On top of this, Smart Insights also do not work properly in stories.
Perhaps something is going wrong in the index creation step. I don't know how we would check this.
Some other models do seem to work, and it's not clear what the difference is. My expectation is that if you have enabled the index, any model should be available in S2I.
Any input from SAP gurus out there?

Same problem here.
Some models show up in the Search to Insight model selection, some don't.
All models work on acquired data, not live.
All have "Search to Insight" enabled and "Model Data Privacy" disabled.
I made a copy of a working model and it does not work either.
@Ellliot Bajema - have you perhaps found a solution?
Hi bharok,
No, still nothing. I even tried a few science experiments: creating a model without index initially, loading data, then turning on index, to see if that was any different from having the index activated from the beginning. Planning vs analytical models. Models imported from file vs source... all of them the same - not visible in Search to Insights. Very strange, with no explanations offered so far.
Thanks a lot for your reply!
I did several tests as well. Even compared working/not working models json description that is retrieved when I use "Choose the model .." button . They seem to be identical. My observations are:
- the problem affects both planning and analytical models,
- dasets can be used for S2I while models built from them not,
- it's not related to the data size - even very small ones are not indexed,
- rebuilding a model does not help either
- turning indexing of/on and re-deploying does not help.
It worked, thank you amit.mathur !
It would be great to have a warning in the model maintenace, next to the indexing toggle.
@ebajema1 I did it via incident reporting https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#incident/create. I had it activated within 24h.
tanisha.gupta20 according to the thread above, this is a deliberate default setting from SAP. Changing it requires raising an incident via https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#incident/create. If you tell them the URL of the tenant you're on, they are able to change the setting for you to enable this.
