Hi,
I've had someone ask me to build an application for 2 users (I'll be using .Net for Windows) that can synchronize data to a server (they want to be able to use the app offline). This is just a self employed person with one employee so they are on a budget.
What would be the most cost friendly sync solution? (2 way sync, no special download or upload rules)
Is this the sql anywhere workgroup edition ( http://sqlanywhere.de/en/pricing/ )? or is there a cheaper alternative?
Thanks,

I think the 5-User SQL Anywhere Workgroup Edition would probably be your best option. It contains the database and mobilink servers and the included 5-User licenses can be used as regular client-server licenses or as remote database synchronization licenses.

Yes, that is correct.
Let me start off by saying that I am not an expert in this area. In addition to a base edition such as Workgroup edition to get licensing for MobiLink (and perhaps SQL Anywhere server if that will be the consolidated database), you will also need a Synchronization Client license for each user that will synchronize data.
