Missing Statistical Currency (GRWCU) in PO – Impacting Import Declaration in logiscts tab

While creating the inbound declaration, the statistical currency is missing in the Logistics tab.

Upon analysis, we found that the field GRWCU (Statistical Currency) in EKKO is blank for some POs. This causes the currency to be missing in the import declaration.

In several POs, GRWCU is updated automatically from the PO currency without any change log. But in some POs we see change logs where the statistical currency was modified manually.

We need clarification on:
1. How GRWCU is defaulted during PO creation in S/4HANA?
