Dear HANA Experts,
A full backup process has been stuck in HANADB REV122.22, because wasn't enough space available.
So the system couldn't create full backup. We couldn't cancel the stucked backup process.
We scheduled a database restart on 2022.11.04.
It has been stopped properly, but couldn't start.
Checking the HANADB trace file () we found that one of the HANADB file from
HANA/DATA/NDB/MNT00001/HDB00001/datavolume_0000.dat is missing since 2022.09.27.
All the other 3 .dat file is available and was used during the database stopping process.
Any idea?
- how could the mentioned .dat file has been disappeared during a continous usage while the system hasn't crashed.
- could HANADB write to another existing files, or for more than a month everything new transaction was only in the memory and wasn't written into disk. (HANA/DATA/NDB/MNT00001/HDB00003/datavolume_0000.dat size became really big)? Is it possible that this file can contain everything until the restart 2022.11.04?
- has anyone meet similar issue?
Thanks,
Janos
