Migrating to Design Studio 1.6 to Lumira Designer 2.4 is advisable?

Hi All,

We are planning to migrate DS 1.6 to Lumira Designer 2.4.Is this advisable?

Tried to migrate Design Studio 1.6 Standard UI5 to SAP UI5 m mode. Getting lot of formating issues.Is there any way to fix those?

Hi Shiva,

I would say it is advisable at least to update the client and server components to the latest Lumira version, since Design Studio 1.6 is out of maintenance for a while.

Having said that, old dashboard should still be working on the new runtime, so maybe there is no need to change them... You should only be aware of the limitation:

If you want to take advantage of new features that were added with the Lumira 2.x versions, you would need to build new LUMX dashboards or convert the existing one(s) to the new LUMX format.

There are a lot of articles describing the approach to do so and handle potential obstacles that may come up during the process.

Thanks for the reply. In the present Design Studio 1.6 version lot of CSS code is been used. After converting the existing dashboard to SAP UI5 m mode for migrating to Lumira Designer 2.4.

Dashboard is messing. I realized, Since lot of CSS code is been used in Design Studio 1.6.Dashboard is messing.

Is there anyway the css code work same after Design Studio 1.6 Standard UI5 to SAP UI5 m mode and migrating to Lumira Designer.
