Hi All,
We are planning to migrate DS 1.6 to Lumira Designer 2.4.Is this advisable?
Tried to migrate Design Studio 1.6 Standard UI5 to SAP UI5 m mode. Getting lot of formating issues. Is there any way to fix those?

Shiva

Hi Shiva,
I would say it is advisable at least to update the client and server components to the latest Lumira version, since Design Studio 1.6 is out of maintenance for a while.
Having said that, old dashboard should still be working on the new runtime, so maybe there is no need to change them... You should only be aware of the limitation:
If you want to take advantage of new features that were added with the Lumira 2.x versions, you would need to build new LUMX dashboards or convert the existing one(s) to the new LUMX format.
There are a lot of articles describing the approach to do so and handle potential obstacles that may come up during the process.
Here are some good resources for information:

Design Studio: Fix Layout after Migration to SAPUI5 m Mode
Migration of SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio 1.6 reports to SAP Lumira Designer
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Harald
