wat is meta data repository ..how to work on them ,can u give brief explanation

it provides central access to information about metadata objects in the

Business Information Warehouse: Information about active objects in

the system (activated objects) Information about SAP delivery objects

in the system (Business Content) The metadata repository provides

the following functions: Metadata search Metdata exchange HTML

page exports Graphical object display.

You can find the following information on all objects in your BW system

in the metadata repository:

Technical data:-

Technical name, object version, content release, and description.

Graphical display:-

For example, the data flow and star schema (the latter available only

for InfoCubes).

Additional objects:-

For example, required objects, objects to which data is forwarded, and

objects that supply data.

To access the Metadata Repository function area, choose the transaction

RSOR.
