Merging or calling two different layouts in one single ADOBE Form

Hi Team,

We already have below two different layouts/Forms in our system.

1) Inspection Accepted Forms

2) Inspection Rejected Forms

These are action based generating forms and will be saved in an application server under unique system generated ID.

There is an existing custom generated valuation report program which helps the user to view the forms based on selecting accepted and rejected items displaying in the ALV grid output. Two different actions involved to view the Forms currently. Each Form have different fields or columns involved in the item table but the main layout is mostly similar.

ASIS

Layout for Accepted:

Header details (Accepted)

Item details (table format with multiple rows and columns) ending with Totals.

Layout for Rejected:

Header details (Rejected)

Item details (table format with multiple rows and columns) ending with Totals.

TOBE:

The requirement is to Merge or write the Accepted and Rejected together in a single form. Once Accepted records are written then a new page the Rejected records will be written.

Layout:

1st Page: Main summary

2nd Page: Header details (Accepted)

Item details (table format with multiple rows and columns) ending with Totals.

3rd or Next page: Header details (Rejected)

Item details (table format with multiple rows and columns) ending with Totals.

Solution:

Please suggest

1) will go with Merging two ADOBE Forms into a single one ( using the below link) and enhancing the new requirements OR

https://blogs.sap.com/2019/09/25/how-to-merge-multiple-pdf-forms-into-single-one-and-write-in-applic...

2) Develop a new one by taking the existing two layouts into a one Form and enhancing the new requirements as stated above. Please help me how to use the existing Form layouts into the new one and must be called based on type "Accepted" and "Rejected" .

I am beginner into this where I am familiar with a small development and modifications in the existing forms.

Kindly share your valuable inputs by providing a suitable solution to achive the requirement.

Thanks.

Hi,
both approaches are valid and might have advantages and disadvantages.
Maybe write them down and discuss them with your team.

In my opinion the first solution would be better fitted for a huge number of pdfs, because the ADS does not need to render every page in one request.

But please do not base your company solution on a simple forum answer.

Best regards
Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Thanks for your valuable input.

So going with the existing Forms and merging into a single one (with the help of the shared link) would be an optimal solution right?

In that case, how to enhance or create a new page or layout to display the "Summary details" before calling the other already created two Forms/layouts.

Kindly reply with some technical solutions.

Thanks again.
