Greetings Experts,

I am using Crystal 2008 with SAP Integration Kit 3.0 trial version. While all of the other features are working fine, the MDX query data source is not fetching any data. The steps followed are -

User MDX query data source - It connects to BW DB and shows the query

Select the Query - Query fields appear in Field Explorer.

Right Click and Browse Data - No Data

Add fields to report - No data

I checked the following -

The cube on which query is based actually has data

The trasports are loaded properly and there are no errors.

copy the DB query from crystal and past it to MDXTEST, retrives the data.

Kind request please help as I have no clue why mdx part is not working.

Regards,

Apoorv

Hi Apoorv,

which MDX did you copy ?

When you include the fields into the Details section of your report and do a preview in Crystal Reports are there any error message ?

Hi Ingo,

The steps I followed are -

1. Clicked the 'Database' Menu on Crystal Report -> Clicked 'Show SQL Query'

2. Copied the SQL shown and pasted it on MDXTEST

3 Ran MDX test and got output.

NO it does not give any error. I also checked the authorization as they are as mentioned in installation guide appendix.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Hi,

could you copy the MDX here ?

Would you be able to use ST01 / ST05 to trace further details ?

You can also go into the registry :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\SAP\BW MDX Query Driver

set the Trace to Yes

then use the path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\SAP

set the "TraceDir" to the path for the logfiles

Hi Ingo,

Here you go ...

SELECT {[Measures].[D4MW4OWTTSH8JADSFQW9YL795]} ON COLUMNS, NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN(EXCEPT([0D_MATERIAL].MEMBERS, {[0D_MATERIAL].[All]}), EXCEPT([0D_CO_CODE__0D_COUNTRY].MEMBERS, {[0D_CO_CODE__0D_COUNTRY].[All]})) ON ROWS FROM [0D_DECU/DEMO_SALES_QUERY]

Mean while I am working on Trace part.

Thanks & Best Regards,
